Cake Wrecks Book Signing - Austin

What a fabulous event on Saturday! Thanks to John’s ongoing recovery (yay!), Jen & John were able to reschedule the Cake Wrecks book book signing event for Austin, and we had the opportunity to hang with them on Saturday. I have to say that Jen & John are just as lovely as you’d imagine - super-friendly and a joy to listen to. Nicole had a blast meeting fellow Cake Wrecks fans and enjoying delicious cake!

Austin Cake Wrecks Event Canceled (Sunday, Oct. 4)

All - Just a heads up that Jen & John of cakes wrecks are both pretty ill (you can follow the updates on their Twitter feed from www.cakewrecks.com), and they’ve had to cancel the Austin event, much to their heartbreak.  Send them some happy vibes!  :)

I’ve included below a quick snapshot (more photos to come later) of the dummy “Wreckplica” cake that I made for the event tomorrow)… hopefully it will bring some smiles!

Cake Wrecks is coming to Austin!

And Wicked Cakes will be there… ;) I’m so excited to have Jen and John from the fabulously funny blog Cake Wrecks visit us here in Austin. They’re on a national book tour for their new book and will be making a stop at Book People on Sunday, October 4th (details below). There will be a book signing, contests, and more, as well as delicious cake. There may even be some wreck-inspired display cakes to check out…
