His and Hers Birthday Cake — Bowling and Boating
Thursday, June 4th, 2009Party Night - Cupcakes Galore!
Saturday, May 9th, 2009My boyfriend and I are hosting a little shindig at hour house this evening… clearly an event that requires cupcakes. I wanted to try some new recipes, so I ended up with three different types of cupcakes, and way more of them than could possibly be eaten by our small group of friends.
Cupcake #1 is a traditional southern red velvet, topped with a creamy coconut cream cheese frosting.
Cupcake #2 is a rustic carrot cake with big slices of carrot and chopped walnut, topped in cream cheese frosting.
Cupcake #3 was an experiment that I’m pretty excited about… I had some un-iced vanilla cupcakes lying around, and I decided to make a tart raspberry buttercream to go on top - yum!
Pink Fairy Birthday Cake
Sunday, March 8th, 2009This cake was for a little girl named Chloe who turned 4 this weekend and had a beautiful fairy princess party… She wanted pink, sparkles, fairy wands, and flowers, and that is what she got! This is a chocolate cake with pink vanilla buttercream, decorated in pink buttercream and tinted gum paste flowers and stars.
