This 40th birthday cake is a “double barrel” cake, which is basically two 8″ round tiers stacked and iced to look like one super-high tier. Happy 40th!

This weekend is a big one… as you all know, the Cake Wrecks event is tomorrow, so I’m scrambling to get ready - it will be a great time!
Just wanted to share another recent deisgn… it was inspired by a watercolor invitation… I loved the beautiful watercolor feeling of the invitation and decided to do an interpretation of it on the design. Here are the results!
This birthday cake was inspired by an earlier Wicked Cakes creation, and was created in honor of Juliana’s third birthday. The bottom tier is rich chocolate cake with mocha buttercream filling, and the top is rich chocolate cake with tangy raspberry buttercream filling. Both tiers are iced in vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream and tinted vanilla fondant. Accents are in vanilla fondant and sugar paste. Happy Birthday!
This is a special cake! I recently reconnected with my best friend from the tender age of 8, and got the opportunity to do her father’s 60th birthday cake. An avid golfer, he is receiving a golf-inspired cake: single tier with layers of chocolate cake, raspberry jam, and dark chocolate buttercream. It’s iced in green vanilla fondant and decorated with fondant and gumpaste accents.
